a hagyomány Rizhaót szokás a világ „három nagy parti teaövezete” közé sorolni a hasonló szélességen — a japán Shizuoka és a koreai Boseong mellett. Ez az összehasonlítás inkább reklám, mint szigorúan tudományos jellegű, de pontosan visszaadja a lényeget: a tea hűvös, tengerparti éghajlaton, hideg téllel terem.
Origin: Rizhao (日照, szó szerint „napfény”) prefektúra Shandong (山东) tartomány délkeleti részén, a Sárga-tenger partján.
